Midisoft's Studio 4 exe file does not like the current anti-malware programs and firewalls. So, I have made it work in Windows XP by simply excluding the exe file, studio.exe, from both my anti-malware and firewall programs. It especially doesn't like the latest version of Malwarebytes at all. With Malwarebytes, you not only have to exclude studio.exe in Malwarebytes exclude function, but following each boot-up of the OS, you also have to end Malwarebytes' two services in the Task Manager. You may also have to inspect Studio 4's log file for accuracy and its three ini files (asprofil.ini, midisoft.ini and studio ini) in the Windows root directory. Many times these files are carrying incorrect information. After a considerable amount of experimentation, I finally was able to make Studio 4 work in Windows XP. Will it work in later iterations of the Windows OS, who knows?
